Course 3

智能汽车与自动驾驶Automated Vehicle for Mobility

The goals of this course are to equip students with a comprehensive understanding of the basic formulations of three-dimensional vehicle dynamics and controls for mobility research and to understand the current research in autonomous driving. The learning objectives are: (1) to understand how to formulate the governing of equations of vehicles in three-dimensional motions using both the Newton’s Law and Lagrange’s equations approaches; (2) to apply to and investigate selected problems in mobility research incorporating vehicle dynamics and controls; (3) to develop MATLAB codes for numerical simulations of selected problems for projects.

With advances in research in vehicle mobility and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), this course is essential to prepare students to conduct critical research in these emerging areas of vehicle and transportation engineering.
